Creating something special for my son and his fiance’ for viewing at their rehearsal dinner before their wedding was so important for me … it was my special heartfelt gift to them … and what an enjoyable experience working with Janet! I’m not sure who took more of an interest in putting together the periods of their lives, their friends, their families, and then ultimately their romance. Janet was so easy to work with … receiving hard pictures, digital photos, even videos – constantly making sure we had grouped just the right ones together with the right music of course – and all put together with her special touches she uses to make it so wonderful! When it was shown at the dinner, I was surprised to be given a standing ovation … I accepted jointly with Janet, of course! It’s a lasting memory to be treasured forever …

Although this is admittedly a bias spousal testimonial, Janet’s productions in recent years are truly remarkable. The time she invests in her assignments is seen in the ultimate result. I can only describe her process with an old bromide:

Reception informal photography:

(I would almost call your photography "journalism". You're writing a story about the event through your pictures and you're not constantly telling the bride and groom "ok, turn your head this way, ok, pose this way" - you would never even know you were there which is what Karl and I were looking for. I just hate to call your work "informal" because your pics are so perfect at capturing the true spirit of the person in the picture.)

"Janet told the story of our wedding reception through her pictures - she didn't miss a shot! It was fun to see the pictures after the event because I didn't even realize how many she had taken. One of the most memorable moments captured was during a country swing dance when I was dancing with my brother. He was supposed to flip me in the air but instead we ended up crashing to the floor. At the time, we weren't really sure what happened but when we saw the pictures after the reception, it was obvious that he had stepped on my gown!"

Girl's Basketball End of Season DVD, Kathy Smith

My name is Kathy Smith and I have known Janet Wilson since 2002. During that time, Janet has taken hundreds of fabulous action photos of girls playing basketball and many of these have been submitted to newspapers. When I first met Janet, she was focusing on action photos of Kingwood High School Varsity basketball players but over the past few years, she has extended her talent to include DVDs for special occasions, for example, 18th birthdays, graduation and senior pictures. Again, all these have been exceptionally high quality productions. As far as Kingwood High School's girls basketball program is concerned, they are the lucky recipients of Janet's unbelievable talent at producing end of season DVDs. These are approximately 45 minutes long and consist of individual photos with footage shot with her video camera of all the players at district games and tournaments. The DVD is interspersed with interviews with coaches and journeys down memory lane. Janet also has delighted parents of the JV and Varsity teams by taking individual action photos and has taken similar photos of girls playing in summer AAU tournaments. These photos are amazing quality and show the girls in various poses, many times while the girl is running down the court or making a shot. I highly recommend Janet Wilson for her professionalism and superb quality products. Use Janet Wilson to start creating a library of unforgettable memories for you and your family.
